The Victorian Government has made some changes to the Incorporated Associations Act 1981(Vic) ('the Act') this past year.
Some of the changes are still to come into effect, but others are now already being implemented.
It is the responsibility of all Victorian Incorporated Associations to ensure they understand what these changes mean and then go about the proper processes of including these changes into their model rules or constitution. In time, a new version of Model Rules for an Incorporated Association will be produced which will contain the new changes, but in the meantime, the changes are listed in the Associations Incorporation Ammendments Act 2009 (Vic).
